The Meaning of Marriage by Timothy Keller Book Cover

The Meaning of Marriage: Facing the Complexities of Commitment with the Wisdom of God
We love this book!  The first chapter or two reads a little slow, but as you continue reading, the biblical truths presented by Timothy Keller continuously jump off the page.  The book starts with some statistics about marriage and a few of the more current views of marriage that our society tends to have about marriage.  Tim Keller then starts getting to meat of the book…The Meaning of Marriage!  The way Timothy Keller breaks down marriage and how marriage was designed to be a reflection of the Gospel is amazing!  We definitely recommend this book to anyone.  Whether you are getting married, are already married, or just want to know what marriage is all about, you NEED to read this book!

first 90 days of marriage by eric and leslie ludy
The First 90 Days of Marriage is a really good book.  Eric and Leslie Ludy basically take turns writing each chapter in this book.  This book really opened our eyes to a lot of different things that couples run into in their first year of marriage.  Topics ranging from sex, to manners and using the bathroom, this book covers a lot!  We have encouraged many people to read this book and we strongly encourage you to pick up a copy of this book today!  Don’t let the title of the book throw you off…the information in this book is applicable long after the first 90 days of marriage!

When Couples Pray Together: Creating Intimacy and Spiritual Wholeness – From Jon: Nicole and I read this book in our small group when we were first married.  It has amazing testimonies of the power of prayer in marriages and the strategies and tips have helped us in our marriage immensely!  We talk about praying together with your spouse in episode 9 of the YMC podcast.  Definitely give that episode a listen when you have a chance.  Praying together with your spouse can be difficult, but this book shows the importance of making praying together in your marriage a regular routine and not something that you shrug off as no big deal.  I strongly encourage anyone who wants to lead their spouse and family spiritually to read this book to help jump start your prayer life together!

There’s no doubt that Dave Ramsey is one of the most well known speakers out there when it comes to dealing with personal finances and wealth.  While we don’t believe that his way is the only way to go about getting your finances under control, there is no denying that his way WORKS!  Spend less than you make, be generous, and prepare for your future is the gist of his approach. If your deep in debt or just trying to get your finances under control, we strongly encourage you to look into Dave’s products and programs.
