Finances is one of, if not the most, common causes of tension and conflict in marriages and relationships. How couples spend their money can either bring them closer together or drive them farther apart. Finances can honestly make or break a marriage! It’s so important for both spouses to be at least willing to be involved and show interest and support to the one handling the finances. When things aren’t going well financially, and all marriages go through financial struggles, it puts an enormous amount of stress on the one handling the finances. So just having your spouse engage, even if they are only praying, is huge! Great podcast! Having gone through what I’ve gone through in recent years financially, I very much agree that one of the most important things is prayer! Bathe your finances in prayer and then be obedient to what God speaks to your heart.
Awesome words of advice and encouragement Diana. It is very important for both spouses to be engaged in the finances of their marriage. When those tough times come, it is a lot easier when you know you have an ally in your spouse, encouraging you and praying with you.
